Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan, located in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau. It is a sunny city surrounded by greenery, with wide streets, beautiful buildings, numerous parks and squares. The 150-year-old rich history of the city is reflected in numerous sights, historical monuments of culture and history, in the contrasting architecture of the city - from ancient buildings in the fortress style to ultra-modern high-rise complexes. Here is the world-famous Medeo high-altitude skating rink, the Cimbulak ski station, mountaineering and tourist camps, resorts, holiday homes and campsites. Kok-Tobe is a mountain on the territory of the city, located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. At the foot of the mountain there is a 350-meter TV tower and if you count from sea level, it is the highest located tower in the world. Several rivers flow through the city, carrying crystal-clear water. The month of October has been chosen for the conference, the most favorable season for holding a conference in Almaty.
